Episode 14:

Staying Community Driven in the Face of COVID-19

With: Ryan Caligiuri
March 19, 2020

Season 1, Ep. 14

Together Stu and Producer Ryan discuss the importance of staying community-centric in these difficult times and what we can do to serve our community.

In this episode, Stu and Ryan dig deep into the recent COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic and how we can still pull together as a community during difficult times. Even those of us in self-isolation can still reach out and call our family and friends because loneliness is something that we can all do something about.

There is also a reading of the poem titled: “Lockdown” by Richard Hendrick.

All over the world, people are slowing down and reflecting.
All over the world, people are looking at their neighbours in a new way.
All over the world, people are waking up to a new reality.
To how big we really are.
To how little control we really have.
To what really matters.
To Love.

There is a lot of good going on around us, you just have to open your eyes and your ears to see it and hear it. Helping others is going to give us a purpose in this new time.

What can you do for your community?

We would like to ask our listeners to send in stories of anything that you are doing for others in the community or that others are doing for you. We want to share these stories of community compassion to give others ideas on how to better help those around them.
